Eze Timothy Nwanoro Donates Sports & Office Equipment To Nigerian Modern Pentathlon Federation

Ezendigbo in Otor Awori LCDA, His Royal Highness Eze Timothy Eberechukwu Nwanoro, has donated sports and office equipment worth over a million Naira to the Nigeria Modern Pentathlon Federation.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Nwanoro, who is also Eze Diaba Ogbe Agu, presented the items to the Federation President, Dr Jonathan Nnaji, in Lagos State.
This generous and act of kindness by Eze Nwanoro was in recognition of the Federation’s remarkable achievements over the years including hosting the Youth Olympic Qualification and Senior Africa Championships, where Nigeria secured second place in 2017.
During his official visit and presentation of the items at the Nigeria Olympic Committee building, His Highness, Eze Nwanoro congratulated the Federation’s President, Dr. Jonathan Nnaji, on his recent election as Vice President of the African Pentathlon Confederation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Eze Timothy Nwanoro, who is also an avid sports enthusiast, commended the Federation’s progress, noting that sports development requires significant investment and support which the government cannot undertake alone.
He encouraged other sports lovers to emulate his gesture by donating generously to the Federation, which will enhance their work for progress and increase their output in sports development in Nigeria.
In response, Dr. Nnaji expressed gratitude, promising to inform the Nigeria Olympic Committee President, Engr. Habu Gumel, and the National Sports Commission Chairman about the donation.
He noted that Eze Nwanoro has demonstrated that he has milk of human kindness and he is passionate about Sports development in Nigeria. He encourage other Nigerians to emulate him in supporting sporting activities in Nigeria.
Nigeria Modern Pentathlon was established in 2012 and Dr Nnaji was elected as the president. In 2017, Nigeria Modern Pentathlon Federation was chosen to host youths Olympic qualification and African senior Champions, which took place in Lagos.
During the competition, 22 African countries were in attendance, and Nigeria came second on the African championship. And within this period, Nigeria has hosted four International Lazer runs and two international referees courses.
Modern Pentathlon is five sports disciplines in one including athletics, swimming, shooting, fencing, and horse obstacle riding.
Dr. Jonathan Nnaji has served Nigeria in different capacities in sports. He is the current vice president African Taekwondo Union and Chairman Member Relations of AFTU. Nnaji is the former Nigeria Taekwondo Federation president and two-time 1st vice President Nigeria Olympic Committee.  He is also Chairman Olypafrica project and Former Nigeria middle weight Teakwondo Champion. Nnaji is a 7th degree world black belt holder.
It is good to note that Nigeria Modern Pentathlon Federation is the only Nigerian sporting Federation that has hosted Olympic qualification in Nigeria, be it in the senior or junior cadre in the history of Sports Federations.
