The Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday received the Honourable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Special Adviser on Political Matters to the President, Senator Babafemi Ojudu.
The Governor, Dr. Fayemi, met with the Honourable Minister and Senator Ojudu behind closed doors in his office in Ado-Ekiti.
Efforts by reporters to get the outcome of the meeting were unsuccessful as the three leaders declined comments, even as they posed for photographs and exchanged pleasantries with reporters.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, however, described the meeting as a “family affairs” involving three brothers.
“There is nothing unusual in the meeting. It is a courtesy visit to the Governor and it provided the three leaders, who are critical stakeholders in the Nigeria project, an opportunity to reflect on sundry national issues,” he said.
Dr. Fayemi, later on his social media page said, “It was a pleasure to welcome the Honourable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Sen. Babafemi Ojudu and the Chairman, Special Ministerial Task Force on Expatriate Quota and Business Permit, Hon. Bola Ilori, who were on a working visit to our dear state”.
“I wish them a pleasant stay in Ekiti.”
