Final 21 Weekly Winners Of GLOIN60SECONDS Receive Prizes

National Telecommunications Company, Globacom has presented prizes to the last batch of weekly winners of its social media talent competition, GLOIN60SECONDS.   

The winners who were drawn from weeks 6, 7 and 8 of the competition received their cash prizes on Wednesday in different parts of the country.

The contest will be rounded off with the grand finale later in March in which one million naira will be won by the overall winner, in addition, to N200, 000 consolation prizes to be received by 5 runners-up.

In Abuja, five winners, Jonah Ochoma, Ejembi Simon, Lewechi Chidiebere Timothy, Rowland Olabode and Eze Paul Ike were presented with N50,000 each at the Gloworld shops in Abuja., while In Enugu, Omeya Chinemerem Gifty, Ajogwu Queen Ogechi and Okpala Chioma also went home with their cash prizes.

In Lagos, 5 winners who received their prizes include Edechime Nnamdi Cyril, a Law student of University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and Chikata Kelechukwu also of Nsukka campus of the same University, Akhilele Ehimare Ose, a Physics graduate of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta as well as two schoolmates, Iyaomiye Israel Bayo and Oladokun Feyisayo Theophilus.

Prizes were also presented in Ibadan where Omoloye Oluwasegun Emmanuel, Egbuaba Favour Chibuikem and Adigun Temiloluwa Daniel receive their cheques.

Others locations are Kano, Warri, Benin and Port Harcourt where Chikezie Tochukwu, Gabez Lynda, Chuke Chimuanya Progress and Offong Imaobong Bassey also got their prizes.

Speaking at the event, the duo of Iyaomiye Israel Bayo and Oladokun Feyisayo Theophilus, students of Aladura Comprehensive High School, Anthony, Lagos who received the cheques of N50,000 each at the Allen Avenue Gloworld Shop expressed delight that their videos won the competition. They admitted that they assisted each other in recording the videos before uploading. Oladokun loaded a video showcasing his drum prowess while Iyaomiye uploaded a dance video. They said they would use part of their prizes to pay for their examinations and buy a few clothes.

“The #GLOIN60SECONDS talent hunt is real and we are happy that at our first attempts, we won. Thanks to Globacom”, they chorused.

Also in Warri, the winner, Gabez Lynda said, “I am so excited to be a winner. The competition has really made me popular on social media”, while in Kano, Chikezie Tochukwu commended Globacom saying “Glo has always set the pace. #Gloin60seconds is the bomb. Kudos to Globacom,”
