FTS Drones: Lagos Businessman Brings Innovation To Fight Against COVID-19

The collective federal and state government, as well as corporate and individual efforts to combat the deadly COVID-19 virus presently ravaging the world has received a major and fresh boost from a Lagos based businessman and politician, Hon. Stephen Olarinde Williams.


Last week, the Managing Director of FTS Drones, and his team began the fumigation exercises with the digital fumigators in Lagos, before it caught the attention of His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, who decided to procure the services of FTS Drones in fumigating his domains and environs against the Coronavirus pandemic.

The highly impressed Ooni Ogunwusi, decidedly went into a partnership pact with the company to bring its innovative technology to the fight against the virus.   

FTS Drones, a subsidiary of Fountedge Technology Solutions ( FTS) was therefore commissioned to provide its fumigation services to all 36 states of Nigeria by the well loved Arole Oduduwa.

According to Hon. Williams, the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic requires creativity and innovations. He disclosed that the drones are capable of reaching and fumigating places and areas deemed inaccessible by humans.

He expressed his gratitude to Ooni Ogunwusi for his proactive approach to the wholesome fight against the global killer. In the same vein, Ooni Ogunwusi described the innovative methods as products of necessity. Adding that the fumigation trucks and the drones could serve other purposes like agricultural and industrial sectors after the challenges of covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking further, Hon. Williams stressed the readiness of his company in the battle against coronavirus.

“Already we have fumigated some parts of Lagos state. We have done it in Ile-Ife and environs, as well as, Osogbo and Ibadan. The train is moving on gradually and steadily,” the technology guru explained.

“We are prepared and ready to fumigate the entire nation. We have the mandate to fumigate with drones to compliment the fumigation trucks. The fumigators will be used alongside the drones to disinfect both air and surfaces in the 36 states of the country,” he quipped confidently.
