A 30-year man, Alasan Audu, has landed in serious trouble after he reportedly raped his ‘newly married’ 17-year old wife, Hansa`u, to death for denying him sex 20 days after their wedding.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the spokesman of the Command, SP Abdu Jinjiri, while confirming the incident in Dutse on Thursday said the incident happened on the 21st April, 2020, at about 0800hrs at Kankarelu village in Ringim Local Government Area, Jigiwa State.
The teenage wife had another person she had in mind but her parents betrothed her to Audu she never wanted to get married to.

However, she was forced to get married to Audu and when he wanted to have sex with her, she refused and Audu forcefully raped her to death.

Audu has justified his reason for killing his wife, Ha nsau Audu, saying he married her 20 days ago and demanded sex but she refused and he raped her to death.
The Jigawa State Police Command has picked up Audu for allegedly killing his wife days after their marriage and may likely face charge for murder which attracts life imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court over the alleged offence.
The Police PRO of the Command, SP Jinjiri, explained that one Hansa’u Audu, 17-year old, a wife to one Alasan Audu, 30, of the same address was found dead in her matrimonial home 20 days after their wedding.

Jinjiri said the Police removed the corpse and took to the hospital where it was confirmed dead by a medical doctor and deposited for autopsy report.
He said investigation revealed that the suspect, Alasan Audu, was not the one the deceased prepared to get married to but was forced to get married him.
Jinjiri said after interrogation, the suspect confessed committing the crime.
“At about 0400hrs, I went to her (the deceased) as a husband, but she turned my request down. I then used force on her to satisfy my sexual desire.”
Police spokesman said the case was still under investigation and will be taken to Court for prosecution.
