Gov Oyetola Commiserates With Families, Victims Of Tanker Explosion

The Governor of the State of Osun, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, has commiserated with the victims of a fatal tanker explosion, which happened Monday at Igbelajewa village, along Ilesha-Akure expressway, Osun State.

In a statement signed by the Honorable Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke Egbemode, Governor Oyetola sympathised with the families of those who lost their lives to the explosion that reportedly razed some vehicles, including passenger buses.

In his words: “The government has received the report of a tanker explosion that has claimed many lives. On behalf of the State government and the people of the State of Osun, I convey our heartfelt sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the unfortunate event.

“We pray that God will comfort the families of the departed, and indeed, everyone who has suffered devastation due to this tragedy.

“As a Government, we are committed to ensuring that the lives and properties of citizens are protected and we will not relent in putting measures in place to ensure all-round safety for our citizens.
