Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s transformative vision for Anambra State is yielding impressive results. Since taking office, Soludo has initiated groundbreaking projects to make the state a livable and prosperous homeland.

Governor Soludo’s urban development initiatives are revolutionizing the state’s landscape. Today in Anambra we speak of the emerging Awka 2.0 and Onitsha 2.0 as Soludo’s vision for remodelling Anambra’s two main urban centres into modern cities and destinations for commerce and innovation hubs. After his visit to Trans Nkisi Layout Soludo has become restless telling anyone who cares to listen that Trans-Nkisi must be transformed into Anambra’s own Maitama, a high-end residential and commercial area. Additionally, the Anambra Mixed Use City (AMIC) is rising in Orumba, combining industrial, residential and recreational spaces to create a vibrant community.

To further boost Awka’s status as the state capital, Soludo has commenced the construction of a 10-storey, five-star hotel, a landmark project that will enhance the city’s hospitality and tourism infrastructure. This iconic hotel will provide world-class amenities and services, making Awka an attractive destination for business travelers, tourists, and investors.

To enhance connectivity and accessibility, Soludo has embarked on key infrastructure projects. The dualization of the Amawbia-Nise-Agulu-Ekwulobia-Uga Road will seamlessly link Anambra to Imo State, while the dualization of the Agulu-Adazi-Nnobi-Nnewi-Ozubulu Road will connect the southern parts of the state to the capital with ease.

Soludo is also investing in recreational and social infrastructure, including the Solution Fun City, that will become West Africa’s largest leisure park upon completion. Furthermore, five new General Hospitals are being constructed in northern Anambra, including Okpoko and Fegge in Onitsha, areas that have lacked these key healthcare facilities for years.

To improve the lives of Anambra residents, Soludo has revamped water schemes across the state, including Awka, Onitsha, Obizi, Nnewi, Otuocha, Umunze, and Okpoko. In a historic move, he has also broken the 33-year jinx of not having a Government House and Governor’s Lodge in the State Capital.

These projects demonstrate Soludo’s commitment to creating a prosperous homeland where future generations will thrive and have no reason to leave. With his economic expertise and vision, Soludo is poised to transform Anambra State into a beacon of progress in Nigeria.
