The national leadership of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and the Orashi National Congress, which are embodiment of focused, vibrant, productive and highly resourceful groups in Nigeria, have condemned in very strong terms the unwarranted media attack against Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo of Aradel Holdings.
The respected groups described Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo as an outstanding illustrious Nigerian, who has distinguished himself in so many areas and ways within the Orashi Region, Rivers State.
In a statement on behalf of the groups on Tuesday 17th September, 2024, Comrade Amb. Emeni Ibe, the National President of Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and President General of Orashi National Congress, described the poorly worded and ill-concieved press release by some disgruntled and very insignificant fellows, who were purportedly calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the DG SSS to checkmate his activities while linking him to the increase in the crisis in Ogbele Community.
He said, “It is quite unfortunate that the baseless accusation by the miserable and very frustrated youths was actually a well calculated attempt at misleading gullible members of the public to hate Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo of Aradel Holdings, whom they erroneously accused of creating avoidable crisis in the community, artificial fuel scarcity that is making Nigerians go through excruciating pains and hardship, which are not true in any way”.
“Informed and very sensitive Nigerians know all the contentious issues including the high level of sabotage by antagonistic elements who are afraid and envious of the good works of Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo of Aradel Holdings.”
“We must state here that it is indeed sad and very shameful that those who accuse Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo wrongly, do not know that he had earlier served as pioneer Cash Manager since the time of NDPR, where he equally served meritoriously and left indelible legacies.”
“It is pathetic, worse and almost unbelievable that those who accused Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo of incompetence do not even know that their allegation about incompetence lacks merit as they know not the immeasurable and invaluable sacrifices of Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo to the region.”
While dismissing the irrelevant and very baseless allegation, the leadership of the two groups submitted that Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo has been living up to expectations in all areas.
The SYF and ONC concluded that it is preposterous and mischievous too for young people, who are striving for greatness, to blame such sensitive issue and well known fact on an innocent man who places so much premium on service delivery and on the empowerment, growth and development of the people. They strongly stated that Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo deserves commendation and appreciation and not to be vilified and demonized by visionless young people, who are throwing tantrums with the name Rivers Coalition.
The groups, during the press conference on Tuesday, passed vote of confidence on Alhaji Buba Umaru Njobbo for his good works. They also used the medium to urge those concerned to learn to support the leaders and representatives of Aradel Holdings and build synergy instead of trying to pull them down.
