Herald! The Emerging Nigeria (YAPJEN To Nigeria)

The Glory of Nigeria has been hidden with some covering cast, and we are on the mission to removing it.
The better and brighter days will come: that is why the Youth Advocates for Peace, Justice and Empowerment Network (YAPJEN), is so careful about tackling these surmounting problems and unveiling the Glorious Nigeria, the Nigeria to emerge.

Although, Nigeria has a smaller economy than some of European developed countries with just 5-10 million people like Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Montenegro or Norway and a lower GDP per capita than the likes of Albania, Guatemala or Mongolia which are all considered poor countries, yet we are still resolute about our quest and pursuit for a better Nigeria.

Nigeria remains firmly in the low human development category, placing 157 among 189 countries on the UNDP Human Development Index in 2017, compared to Brazil at 79, South Africa 113 and war ravaged Iraq at 120.
While Brazil moved 20 million persons out of poverty in eight years, Nigeria moved 93 million into “extreme poverty” to displace India as world champion. Inheriting an exchange rate of N91 to $1 in 1999, today’s official exchange rate is N302 to $1. (Source: The Punch). It won’t change our mindset about the Emerging Nigeria or reduce our commitment in any way.

The National Bureau of Statistics just confirmed 16 million Nigerians jobless.  Our education is in a bizarre state not even to behold; only about 30% have access to clean water – USAID.
Poverty has swept all across the streets of Nigeria and the gap between the ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’ is something to fear about. Yet there is a future for our country, the one we don’t mind sacrificing everything to behold.

Indeed our problems are frightening; but what can we do in this seemingly bleak future of ours?
Do we still have a place in destiny?
It’s not over yet;

YAPJEN has a dream of a new Nigeria to emerge.

“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed.
I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low,…. and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.”
Just like Martin Luther King Jnr had a dream for America which later showed up long after he was gone.

I also have a dream that one day
Nigeria would be a nation of pride and dignity, second to none in the international community.

I have a dream that one day every city, state or town will be developed just the same way Lagos is; that every part of Nigeria will be a commercial and booming city.

I have a dream that one day all the tribes in Nigeria will no longer strive, neither will they fight; but they will be engaged in constructive competition, drive for excellence and the spirit of unity and love. From the Calabari Kingdom in the down South to the Zazzau Kingdom in the far North.

I have a dream that one day our children will have enough schools just the way we have the grocery shops; and education will no longer be a thing of concern, as almost every child in Nigeria will be educated and our Tertiary institutions will be as many to accommodate all.

I have a dream that one day Nigeria will truly stand as the Giant of Africa; because all nations in her region will look to her for help
I have a dream that one day our women will stop failing and they shall stand out amongst their contemporaries all over the world. That illiteracy and poverty will be totally wiped out from the face of the Nigerian soil.

I have a dream that one day there would also be psychological effect in Nigeria when faced with power outage; that Nigerians will celebrate 10 years with constant energy.

I have a dream that one day the green passport will command international respect; as visitors from all over the world will not feel to leave

I have a dream that one day the youths of Nigeria will control the economy of the world; we will have workers from every nation been employed to work here. Our unemployment rate will reduce to 0.1 percent; hosting great entrepreneurs just like the Silicon Valley

If all these are my own dream; then what are yours?
If we can dream it; we can become it. Impossibility is possible. Why? Because impossibility appears before possibility in the dictionary. It means that something was impossible at the letter “I” but when it got to the letter “P” it changed to become possible!!!
Yes we can!

I believe in the Nigeria of my dreams.
Greatness or nothing else
The hall of fame or the land of history

God bless Nigeria!
