Hon. Kasunmu Wins SGD Award

The Honourable lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), was yesterday presented with the “DISTINGUISHED LEGISLATIVE SDG AWARD”.

The award, which was conferred on the vibrant Lawmaker by Lagos Panorama Media Group, was in recognition of his efforts in domesticating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) in his Constituency in the last couple of years.

According to the organisers, “Hon. Kasunmu has done quite a lot in the last few years in respect to SDGs actualisation in Ikeja Constituency 2 of Lagos State.

For instance, he has been providing access to good education through his free annual GCE and JAMB registration in the constituency; his palliatives and cash transfer interventions during the Covid-19 lockdown of 2020 were also highly commendable and most recently, he provided four (4) boreholes to four (4) communities in his Constituency. All these are great examples of SDGs implementation at the constituency level by Hon. Kasunmu and we believe these are laudable. This award therefore, is to motivate him to do more”, Lagos Panorama Publisher, Comrade Tayo Aderinola stated.

In his response, Hon. Kasunmu, who personally received the award in his office, thanked the organisers for the recognition. He also thanked the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, for serving as a huge inspiration to all lawmakers through various programmes, especially the annual simultaneous Stakeholders meetings which ensures all legislators touch base regularly.

Hon. ARK therefore, dedicated the award to the people of his Constituency, especially the leadership of the party. He also thanked them for their unflinching support and promised to do more.
