While marking the International Day of Education, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon Segun Odunmbaku, has reiterated his resolve to building people through the transformative power of education.
Speaking on Friday 24th January, 2025, the Ojodu Mayor said, “On this International Day of Education with the theme, “AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation,”we celebrate the transformative power of education in shaping lives and communities in Ojodu LCDA”.
“Over the last three years, we have distributed 350 School Kits,700 G.C.E. and 900 JAMB forms, coaching classes for 500 candidates with provision of 600 school furnitures ,1500 Revision Texts and 60,000 exercise books, renovated schools while upgrading our ICT center to a Tech Hub with over 4,799 pupils and students equipped with Digital skills for the future.”
“We have also established yearly cash rewards totaling 4.5 MIllion Naira to incentivize excellence in teaching, giving financial aid for academic excellence through scholarships and busrary that has already benefitted 74 students with 4.6 Million Naira and donated 1 Million Naira to reintegrate “Out of School” kids into the educational system.”
“As we celebrate the International Day of Education, we reiterate our commitment to building a brighter future through the educational development pillar of our administration’s H.E.Y.S Agenda for progress, innovation and inclusivity in Ojodu LCDA.”
