Renowned Nigerian actor and cultural icon, Prince Jide Kosoko, has joined millions of Nigerians in mourning the passing of Alhaja Halimat Oluwabunmi Adewale, the mother of legendary Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (K1 De Ultimate).

In a heartfelt condolence message, Kosoko extolled the virtues of the late matriarch, describing her as a beacon of strength, wisdom, and love.

In his statement, Kosoko noted that Alhaja Adewale’s impact extended far beyond her immediate family, highlighting her contributions to fostering unity and goodwill within her community.

“Alhaja Halimat Oluwabunmi Adewale was an extraordinary woman, a pillar of strength, and a mother whose virtues and values have left an indelible mark on all who knew her,” he said.

Kosoko further reflected on her role as a mother, emphasizing the influence she had on raising one of Nigeria’s most celebrated music icons.

“She raised not just a son but a global icon whose artistry has brought joy and pride to millions. K1’s discipline, humility, and dedication to his craft are undoubtedly a reflection of the strong moral foundation instilled in him by Alhaja Halimat.”

Beyond her family, the late Alhaja Adewale was described as a silent architect of goodwill who embodied kindness, unwavering faith, and selfless service.

Kosoko remarked, “Her wisdom was sought by many, her counsel valued, and her presence cherished. She leaves behind a legacy that will forever inspire generations.”

Addressing K1 De Ultimate, Kosoko offered words of comfort and encouragement, expressing confidence in the musician’s ability to provide leadership for the larger family left behind.

“To my dear brother and friend, I pray that the Almighty grants you the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. May you find strength in the cherished memories of your dear mother and the profound impact of her life.”

Kosoko concluded his statement with prayers for the late Alhaja Adewale, asking for eternal rest for her soul.

“May Allah, in His infinite mercy, grant Alhaja Halimat Oluwabunmi Adewale eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus. Rest in peace, a true matriarch whose light will never be dimmed.”

The passing of Alhaja Halimat Oluwabunmi Adewale has left a void in the hearts of many, especially within the Yoruba and entertainment communities.

Her legacy, as highlighted by Kosoko, serves as a reminder of the power of love, leadership, and service to humanity.
