How 4 Notorious Robbers Who Use Grinded Pepper To Rob Victims Were Arrested During Operation

Police operatives from FIB/IRT Abuja have tracked and arrested four notorious robbers, who use grinded pepper to rob innocent victims of their properties in Lagos State. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects, Allom David, 40, Monday Solomon,40 David Emmanuel, 33 and Shakiru Badmus, 30, were arrested at Ibeshe area of Ikorodu, Lagos, after they allegedly robbed some victims by spraying pepper on their faces.

 

The suspects were apprehended following an intelligence report of their activities and the Police tracked and eventually arrested them during the operation.

 

The charges read:

“That you, Allom David ‘m’, Monday Solomon ‘m’, David Emmanuel ‘m’, Shakiru Badmus ‘m’, sometime in 2021, at  Ibeshe area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, in the Lagos Magisterial District, being members of a four-man robbery gang, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit robbery and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 299 of the Criminal Law, Ch., C17. Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.”

 

COUNT II:”That you, Allom David ‘m’, Monday Solomon ‘m’, David Emmanuel ‘m’, Shakiru Badmus ‘m’, on the same date and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District, while armed with obnoxious substance (pepper), which you apply on your victims faces and dispose them of their four unregistered motorcycles (popularly known as Okada) and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 297(1)(2)(a) of the Criminal Law, Ch., C17, Vol 3, Laws of agos State, 2015.”

 

However, they pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty before the Court to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
