Bucknor who crashed out in last year in round of 32 of Lagos State Challenge Cup defeated Jubril FC 4-2 on penalty shootout in the final of Jimoh Ajao 65 year’s football competition.
The high tension soaked match which was played on Monday at Jimoh Ajao football pitch, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos was watched by hundred football fans
Bucknor who are currently playing in Alimosho League came from two goals deficit to level up through Ogunjobi Kamorudeen and Ekong John who scored superb goal to drag the game to penalty shootout.
Bucknor Team Manager, Adebowale Habeeb Abidemi expressed joy that his team won their first trophy in New Year boasting that the team are poised to win more laurels before the end of the year.
“Our first trophy in New Year would motivate the players to compete for all trophies. We are formidable team and we are ready to contest for all trophies,” he said.
