Rock Boys Football Club representing Nigeria crowned champions after defeating Puma Football Club representing Rwanda 7-6 on penalty shootout in the final of Mock African Nations Cup tagged ’Pako Cup’
The pulsating match held recently at Omituntun sports centre, Alimosho, Lagos. Both teams scored their goalin each half before went to penalty shootout.
At the presentation, Nigeria received a giant trophy with the sum of N70, 000, while Rwanda got N50, 000 for the second position.
Match coordinator, Waidi Olagoke explained that a totalof 24 teams too part in the competition and boasted that no player or fan sustain major or minor injury during or after the game.
He thanked those who partnered and supported them throughout the competition saying that all the participating teams played to expectations.
“I am very grateful to God for the success of this tournament. We have been organizing this tournament in the last three decade and we are able to sustain it. This is to tell you that the competition has come to stay and I thank all our partners and sponsors for standing with us since we started the competition,” he said.
