A 32-year old married woman, Mrs Fatimo Solomon has confessed that her husband, Folorunsho knew that she steals while he has tried his best to stop her but to no avail.
Ogun State-born Fatimo, who lives in Ikorodu, stated this after she was arrested at a hair dressing saloon at 14 Araromi Street in Ilasamaja, Lagos where she went to do her hair but decided to steal an Infinix mobile phone worth over N50,000.
This action of hers has landed her in prison as she has been charged before an Isolo magistrates’ court with stealing and ordered to be remanded in prison custody.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Fatimo, mother of three, informed her husband, Folorunsho, that she was going to do her hair at a saloon.
She then left Ikorodu for Ilasamaja where she entered the saloon, pretended as a customer who wanted to do her hair.
After they agreed on a fee, she told the saloon owner that she wanted to go back home to bring the materials that will be used to do her hair.
By then, she had already stolen the phone and was escaping before the owner of the phone discovered the phone was missing and pursued her.
According to the complainant, she had already bargained to sell the phone for N10,000 before she was apprehended and handed over to the police.
At the Ilasa police division where she was detained, she was asked to call her husband but refused because she does not want him to know she stole again.
She was then brought to court on Thursday where she was arraigned for stealing under the Criminal Code.
She pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr O.N. Ogbe granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail.
The matter was adjourned till 15 May 2017.
When our correspondent contacted her husband, he confirmed her wife’s stealing habit which he said did not know what to do about it again.
