Igbo community leaders in Lagos have commended the National leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Party leaders in the State for proscription of groups saying it was part of the hindrances impeding mobilization of ethnic people at the grassroots across the Local Governments in the State over the years.

P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the Ezendigbo and Chairman of ethnic traditional rulers in Lagos State, Eze Christian C. Nwachukwu.

He explained that the decision was in line with what the Igbo community had already done by dissolving those groups such as Igbo Vision, Coalition, Mandate, SouthEast etc and unanimously nominated Hon. Jude Idimogu as the Igbo Apex leader in APC.

Nwachukwu noted that the decision by the GAC was in the right direction to position APC for 2023 and other future elections in the State.
He stated that Hon. Idimogu has already started work on the mandate given to him for grassroots mobilization from Wards and Local Governments across the State and it has started yielding results as many opposition members have started joining the APC.

Nwachukwu reiterated the commitment of the Igbo community to continue to support the the great leader, Asiwaju Tinubu, the Lagos State Government led by the amiable Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the party leaders at both the State and Federal level.
He said that the decision has reverted the winning formula of APC in the State as he recalled how the Igbo community had mobilized the Igbo and given massive support to Asiwaju Tinubu when he was Governor and acknowledged it by commissioning Igbo Community Centre through his amiable wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu in 2005.

He assured that the Igbo Community will continue to abide by the laws of the State and directives of the APC in the State for peace and harmony.Eze Nwachukwu stated that the stakeholders have directed the Igbo in the State to comply with the directives and should not recognized or join any other groups except Igbo Community which was recognized in APC constitution under the leadership of Hon. Idimogu in the State.
