Igbo Speaking Community’s President, Chief Sunday Udeh Congratulates Tinubu & Hamzat On APC Primary Victories

The President of the Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos State, Chief Sunday Udeh, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, on their emergence as the All Progressives Congress candidates for the presidency and governorship.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that in the congratulatory message made available to the press, Chief Udeh, also known as Onwa Ndigbo in Lagos, described the outcome of the APC primaries as a reflection of the party’s confidence in the leadership and track record of both candidates.
Chief Udeh said the victory of President Tinubu at the presidential primary was well deserved, noting that his political experience and contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development had earned him widespread recognition within and outside the APC.
He also commended Dr. Hamzat for securing the party’s governorship ticket, saying that his role in the current administration had demonstrated commitment to service delivery and continuity in Lagos State.
According to the Igbo leader, the success of both candidates at the primaries signals stability within the party and strengthens its position ahead of the general elections.
Chief Udeh expressed confidence that if elected, the APC candidates would continue to pursue policies that promote economic growth, security, and national unity.
He urged members of the Igbo community in Lagos and across Nigeria to support the APC candidates, noting that inclusive governance benefits all ethnic groups in the country. He also used the popular Igbo adge which says Ebe Onye Bi ka Ona Awachi, which literary means one protects home of abode
Onwa Ndigbo further called on political actors to conduct their campaigns peacefully and to avoid actions that could heighten ethnic or religious tensions.
He said that the Igbo Speaking Community remains committed to fostering harmony between Ndigbo and other communities in Lagos State through dialogue and civic participation.
Chief Udeh concluded by praying for a successful electoral process and for leaders who would prioritize the welfare of all Nigerians regardless of background.
