For economic development, the Assembly said it will promote entrepreneurship, skills acquisition, education, employment and investment. It will also pursue empowerment programmes for youths, including the traditional Igbo Odibo apprenticeship system, and encourage economic cooperation among Igbo people globally.
The Assembly further resolved to serve as a responsible platform for advocacy on issues affecting the welfare, security, rights and development of Ndigbo, while respecting the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
IGPA affirmed its leadership structure and called on all elected and appointed officers to discharge their duties with integrity, transparency and accountability. The Assembly concluded that meetings will be held in accordance with its Constitution and Byelaws, with adequate notice and proper records kept by the National Secretary.
