The Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Archdiocese, Most Rev. Moses Chikwe, who was kidnapped alongside his driver, Mr. Ndubuisi Robert, has been released by the abductors unhurt and without ransom.

Recall that the Archbishop of Owerri, His Grace, Archbishop A. Obinna, had announced the kidnap of his Auxiliary Bishop, Most Rev. Moses Chikwe.

P.M.EXPRESS had earlier reported that the Bishop was kidnapped alongside his driver in the night of Sunday 27th December 2020.

The Bishop and his driver were reportedly kidnapped close to his house, while his car and official regalia were abandoned at the premises of the Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri, Imo State.

As at the time of filing this report, there were not much details as to how the release of the Bishop and his driver was effected.
