A senior Police officer attached to Commissioner of Police Special Squad, Lagos State Command, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, Nosiru Isiaka, had a nasty experience while on duty as he was attacked by a lady who tore his clothes in public.
P.M.EXPRESS reports the 34-year old lady, Anastician Nwakego, was angry with Supol Isiaka for attempting to arrest her friend, identified as Victoria, over an undisclosed criminal matter.
The incident happened on 2nd June, 2025, at about 1230hrs at Agoe Road area of Abule Egba, Lagos, where Supol Isiaka went to effect the arrest of Victoria and Nwakego prevented him from doing so.
She was said to have raised alarm,  called Supol Isiaka and other Police officers present thieves. She then grabbed Isiaka’s shirt and tore it in public to his disbelief and shock.
However, the Police overpowered her, arrested and detained her at the Command’s headquarters for investigation over her conduct against the complainant.
After interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
Count 1:”That you, Anastician Nwakego ‘f on the 2nd day of June, 2025, at about 1230hrs at Agoe Road area of Abule Egba area of Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, while preventing Victoria ‘f from being arrested by the Police, did intentionally and unlawfully obstruct Police officers from the Command’s Special Squad, Ikeja led by ASP Nosiru Isiaka and thereby committed an offence contrary to and Punishable under Section 117(1)(2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted her bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
