A 36-year old lady, Ijeoma Okoli, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly biting off the finger of her rival, Nwachukwu Rosita, during a public brawl at Computer Village over an undisclosed matter.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 19th July, 2025, at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos.
According to the Police, the lady and the victim had a disagreement over an undisclosed matter, which led to exchange of words and later degenerated into a fight between them.  During the fight, the suspect grabbed the victim’s finger, bit it off and it fell down.
The victim was said to have bled profusely and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment while the matter was reported to the Police at Ikeja Division. The Police arrested the suspect and detained her at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct against the complainant.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
The charge read:
“That you, Ijeoma Okolie ‘f on the 9th day of July, 2025 at about 1230hrs at computer village Ikeja Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did intentionally and illegally grievously cut off the finger of one Nwachukwu Rosita ‘f’ with your teeth, which caused her permanent bodily deformity on her finger and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 245 of Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
