The incident happened at Abayomi Street, Off Governor’s Road in Ikotun area of Lagos.

Mrs. Nwadike reportedly got the money from Obiaze under the false pretence of assisting her to get a two bedroom apartment at Arida area of Idimu.

When the victim waited for the accommodation to no avail, she asked the suspect to refund her money but she did not do so and started dodging her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Abiaze got brutalised when she went to Nwadike to collect the money, to the extent that she was rushed to a hospital and underwent an operation in order to save her life.

Nwadike claimed that she took her by surprise and reportedly assaulted. She used an object and inflicted injury on her head for demanding the money she claimed that she had spent.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the victim gave Nwadike the money on trust, she spent the money and did not get any accommodation as she promised. The victim then decided to visit her to recover her money and got the assault she will not forget in a hurry.

The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun Division, Nwadike was arrested and taken to the police station. During interrogation, she reportedly admitted that they fought but denied that she did use any object to attack her. She however could not explain what happened to the victim’s head.

She was arraigned and charged before Isolo Magistrates court for assault.
