Dr Uche Ogah on Friday officially unveiled his movement; Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah Movement (USOM).

The event which attracted people from all walks of life also included the public presentation of the new Director General Chief Uzor Egbo and his Deputy Chief Utah Kalu.

Accompanied by the Chairman Board of Trustees, Chief Jerry Kalu, Dr Uche Ogah was received by leaders of the movement from across the 17 local government areas of Abia State, along with his associates from Abuja and Lagos.

In a highly moving speech Dr Uche Ogah lucidly reiterated his commitment to social transformation and commended his teaming supporters across the state for holding on to this cause resolutely.

Speaking during a town hall segment at the event t of new Dr Uche Ogah emphasized that the move was necessitated by the need to unify all the working groups committed to the common cause, create interaction and to bring his teaming supporters together to build vigor and mobilize massively towards a common goal; which is the required change in Abia State. He made it clear that he has not declared his intention to run for the governorship of the state. His focus according to him is ‘’to build a movement of supporters and other Abia indigenes who are not happy with the poverty and despondency in the state.”

‘’I know there is one thing on your mind, that is how to make a change in Abia. If you all can do one thing, thatl is speak the good news that Abia has a great future and  work together towards its actualisation, then it will come to pass. The future belongs to all of us, it is our collective responsibility to build the Abia of our dream’. As a tree cannot make a forest so one man cannot be  the force of transformation ; it takes the collective effort of all to make great things happen.”

On events relating to the last governorship election, he encouraged every Abia indigene not to be discouraged but to focus on the future, noting however, that everything that happened in the last election turned out the way God allowed it. ‘’I am not bitter with anybody and I don’t have enemies. Although some people did things that are unacceptable in a civilized society. But we will not allow such to happen again.’’

He appreciated every leader in attendance and encouraged them to return to their various local government areas to start massive grassroots mobilization towards the needed change in Abia. He thanked all Abia indigenes who are praying fervently for God to restore our dear State to the path of peace, social justice and prosperity.

With this development Dr Ogah has returned joy to many Abians and political pundits, that all hope is not lost in the mission to rescue Abia from a recurring decimal of inept leaderships.
