A lady, one Damilola Kasura, has landed in trouble after she defrauded her lover, Moses Peter, to the tune of about N1.3m and eventually dumped him for another lover in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Bucknor Estate in Ejigbo area where Peter resides.

It was said to have happened about three months after Damilola had entered into a relationship with Peter before she jilted him.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Peter met Damilola and engaged her in a relationship with the hope to end up getting married to her.
However, Peter did not know that she did not love him and pretended all along in order to defraud him.
During the short period their relationship lasted, Damilola was said to have tricked Peter, obtained huge amount of money and thereafter dumped him. She was said to have told Peter that her mother had issues with a land agent over money and asked him to assist her to raise the money. Peter then sold his gold, added the money he had in cash with him and gave to her in order to settle the matter with the land agent. After obtaining the money, she bolted away and started a relationship with another lover.

When Peter realised what happened, he asked her to refund the money but she refused. She told him that the money he gave to her was compensation for the three months they dated.
The matter was reported to the police at Ejigbo Division and Damilola was arrested. She was later charged before Ejigbo Magistrates Court for fraud.
She pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, presented the facts of the matter and asked the court to sentence her accordingly to serve as deterrent to others.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O. Shomade, found her guilty as charged and sentenced her accordingly.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Damilola will spend the rest of this year in prison custody while the complainant will forego the money as she had been convicted for the offence she committed.
