The Lagos State Darts Association will stage a two-day Open Darts Championship between 20 and 21 December at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.
P.M. EXPRESS reports that the Open Darts Championship will feature darters across the state. Facilitated by the Lagos State Sports Commission and organised by the Lagos State Darts Association, the Open tournament is targeted at exposing and sustaining potential innate in darts by discovering, developing, improving intellectual and motor skills.
According to the association, the championship is designed to identify new prospective darters with the intention of providing specific training and mentoring experience, fit for purpose thereby driving a spur for new generation athletes to live their dreams also represent Lagos State in national and international competitions.
Darts is a precision game and a multi-medal sport. It is imperative to state that the sport has moved from unhealthy narratives and is today dignified as a professional sport rich in healthy lifestyle, monetary and social benefits.
Registration for the tournament holds on Monday morning.
