The newly appointed Executive Secretary, Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSMWPB), Imam AbdulHakeem Kosoko, has appealed to members of staff of the Board to show absolute commitment and dedication to their official duties.
He spoke on Wednesday during the send-forth ceremony organised by the Board in honour of the immediate past Executive Secretary, Mr. Rahman Ishola, who was recently posted to another establishment in the State Public Service.
While promising to ensure equity and justice during his administration, Kosoko hinted that there would be a review of the mode of operations of the Board for improved service delivery.
Imam Kosoko praised the former Board Secretary, Mr. Ishola, for his various achievements at the Board and described him as a very wonderful colleague, brother and friend of many years.
In his response, Mr. Ishola expressed his appreciation to the Almighty Allah for His love and mercy throughout his tenure at the Board.
While acknowledging the fact that he has been friends with Imam Kosoko for many years, Ishola expressed gratitude to Allah for the privilege of being the first Civil Servant to be given a political appointment as an Executive Secretary of the Board since it was established in 1976.
Ishola, therefore, urged the staff to extend all necessary cooperation to his successor, assuring the new Board Secretary that the staff would render support to ensure he excels in the new assignment.
