The Central Working Committee of the Lagos Open International Tennis Championships has announced the commencement of online sales of tickets for the tournament on the Ariiyatickets.com website.
A commercial was also launched on Monday to promote the Lagos Open on social media sites. The official accounts of the competition, @LagosOpenTennis on Instagram and Twitter, published the advert.
Fans of tennis will be able to purchase tickets for this year’s competition once again online and then pick up the tickets at the entrance of the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club from September 29 when the competition serves off.
PM EXPRESS reports that tickets for the Lagos Open are in two categories; Regular – 1,500 Naira and VIP – 5,000 Naira. Purchase of the tickets covers the two weeks duration of the International Tennis Federation, ITF approved tournament.
Attempts have been made to improve the offering this year as ticket buyers are guaranteed preferential packing as well as the opportunity to buy refreshment from the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan members’ price.
The Lagos Open recently changed its name from the Governor’s Cup after 17 years consists of two legs, the Futures 4 and Futures 5.
Qualifying matches for Futures 4 starts on September 29 with the main draw commencing on October 1 and the final on October 6.
The main draws for Futures 5 will commence on October 8 with the grand final set for October 13 where Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, is expected to declare the tournament closed.
