In its usual manner, Lagos sporting fraternity remembered one of its own, the late Ayodeji Boonyamin Tinubu, who died on Thursday, 25 January, 2018 during active service to the state.
P.M. EXPRESS reports that the late Tinubu was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports and the Pioneer Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission during the government of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
The management and Staff of the Lagos State Sports Commission on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere chose that day to organise Deji Tinubu Memorial Symposium, which was in its third edition this year. The Symposium, among other things, is being organised to tell the world that the legacies of Deji Tinubu live on.
This year’s event was a virtual edition with the themed: “The Life Changing impact of Sports.”
Dignitaries gathered to honour the man whose short tenure at the helms of sports saw immeasurable legacies in Lagos State.
P.M. EXPRESS presents the day in this brief photo news. May the soul of Deji Tinubu continue to rest in peace and with the Lord, amen.
