Activities marking the 53rd Annual National Conference and Workshop of the National Association for Physical, Health Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (NAPHER-SD), which begins on Tuesday, 23 September 2025 at the Lagos State University main Campus along Badagry expressway, Ojo, Lagos, begin today with the arrival of state delegates and participants.
Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Prof. N.A Sentonji, who disclosed this in Lagos at the weekend, said LASU is fully ready to host a memorable Conference and Workshop as he reaffirmed LASU’s commitment to stage a befitting event, as everything is already in place in terms of logistics.
Adding that the only thing left now is for participants to start arriving from all over the country. ” We have done all that is necessary for us to do regarding logistics. We are only waiting for the participants to start arriving”, he said.
The Conference and Workshop, which the Vice Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, the Chief host, gave her approval long ago and collaborated with Prof. Gabriel O Akindoju, the host, has Prof. R.A Moronfolu of LASU as the Keynote Speaker, while Dr Uchenna Dim, of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, will present the Lead Paper.
Dr Femi Abioye of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) is the event facilitator.
Meanwhile, the President of NAPHER-SD, Prof. Florence Adeyanju, as the Secretary General, Dr Franz Atare, who will arrive in Lagos Monday, have passed a vote of confidence on the Prof. Sentonji-led LOC.
The 53rd Conference and Workshop of NAPHER-SD, holds from 23-27 September, 2025 at LASU.
