The Oluyole Federal Constituency representative, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has said she received the tragic news of the passing of the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, with great sadness and rude shock.
In a statement signed on Saturday by the lawmaker, she said the death of her paternal uncle, Oba Adebimpe, is a great lost to the family. She sent her condolences to the family, the Olubadan -In- Council and the people of Ibadanland.
Akande-Sadipe, who chairs the House of Representatives committee on Ethics and privileges, said she considered the death of Oba Adebimpe as an irreparable loss “that has left a great void in our hearts”.
“Oba Adebimpe was a resourceful, highly cerebral monarch, a philanthropist and a recognised figure in the state.”
“We acknowledge that death is a price we all have to pay. However, the reality of death is truly devastating. Our hearts are heavy. A bright star, a son of the soil worthy of praise and valuable traditional ruler is gone.”
“May God grant Oba Adebimpe eternal peace. Amen”.
