Man, 33, Docked For Damaging Neighbour’s Scrotum During Public Brawl

The fate of a trader, Pascal Uche, to have a normal sex life and possibly to impregnate a woman is hanging in a balance following an injury he sustained on his scrotum during a public fight with his neighbour, Dominic Kenneth, in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the neighbour, Dominic Kenneth attacked the victim, Uche and damaged his scrotum to the extent that he has been having severe pain and cannot have erection due to the injury he sustained.
The 33-year old man, Kenneth, has been arrested and charged for allegedly causing grievous harm to his neighbour during the fight.
Kenneth has consequently been charged before the Ikorodu Magistrate Court, Lagos, on a count charge of causing grievous harm on the victim under the Criminal Laws of the State.
However, he pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The Prosecutor, Christian Okonofua, told the Court that the defendant committed the offence on 1st March, 2024, at about 12:20pm, at No 1, Abdul Rasaq Street, Balogun area of Ikorodu.
Mr. Okonofua said that the defendant, Mr. Kenneth, unlawfully caused grievous harm to his neighbour (co-shop owner in the market), Pascal Uche, by allegedly hitting the scrotum in his private part during a fracas.
According to the prosecutor, the offence contravened Section 245 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, which stipulates seven years in prison if the accused is found guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, A.O. Onalaja, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties who must show evidence of means of livelihood and addresses verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 14th March, 2024, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
