A 35-year old man, Emeka Onyejiaka, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly sucking the breasts of a 15-year old girl and engaging her in sex romp.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Onyejiaka, has been arrested and charged for defilement over his alleged conduct.
The incident happened on 15th September, 2024 at Wahab Street off Ali Dada bus stop, Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos, where the suspect visited his friend.
According to the Police, the suspect who resides at Ijegun area of Lagos, visited his friend on 14th September, 2024 and engaged the victim with words of mouth in order to confuse her. From there, he started fondling and sucking her breasts, which got her more confused and she was unable to resist him.
However, the matter got exposed after the act as the victim regained her senses and informed her brother’s wife about what happened. The matter was reported to the Police at Ago Palace Division and the suspect was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the State Police Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After rounds of interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
However, the Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, ordered the defendant to be remanded in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to DPP.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
