According to the Police, the man had a disagreement with his wife, which led to exchange of words and later degenerated to physical fighting between them.  During the fight, the man displayed his boxing prowess; rained punches on the victim and caused her serious bodily harm before she was eventually rescued.

Apart from inflicting injury on her, he reportedly posted her pictures on the social media causing fear and false alarm while she was receiving treatment in the hospital due to injuries she sustained during assault on her.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ikotun Division. The man was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation for causing such injury on his wife.
