Standout defensive midfielder and rising youngster, Raheem Salaudeen, has been selected among the final 40 elite players for the prestigious NFF/FIFA Talent Development Scheme.
Raheem, a determined young talent from Lagos, who is a product of Buruj Football Academy, will attend the second phase of the training camp, held at the NFF Technical Centre in Abuja from November 4th to 10th, 2024.
This recognition places Raheem on the path to realizing his dream of representing Nigeria at the international level.
Raheem’s selection is a testament to the quality and dedication of Buruj Football Academy, which has consistently aimed to nurture exceptional talents through professional training and mentorship.
Buruj Football Academy prides itself on developing well-rounded athletes who embody discipline, skill and resilience.
Raheem’s journey exemplifies this mission, as he has grown significantly within Buruj’s structured environment, making a name for himself with his powerful defensive capabilities and smart game play.
Reflecting on this opportunity, Raheem shared, “This journey isn’t just about me. It’s about representing Buruj Football Academy, my family, and everyone who believes in Nigerian football talent. I’m honoured and ready to make the most of this opportunity”.
“Raheem’s dedication to the game, both on and off the pitch, speaks volumes,” a coach from Buruj Football Academy said.
“His selection in the NFF/FIFA Talent Development Scheme is well-deserved, and it’s a proud moment for everyone at Buruj FC. We are committed to ensuring Raheem, and all our players, have the guidance and support they need to excel.”
As one of only 40 players in Nigeria to make it to this stage, Raheem will continue his journey with training sessions led by elite coaches, where he will refine his skills and deepen his understanding of the game.
The camp will provide valuable exposure and prepare him for future opportunities on both national and international stages.
Buruj Football Academy stands as a beacon for young footballers across Nigeria, opening doors to opportunities like the NFF/FIFA Talent Development Scheme. With Raheem’s success, Buruj FC is eager to inspire the next generation of players to pursue their dreams through commitment and excellence in football.
