A 40-year old man, Taiye Illo, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly tying the mouth and hands of a 13-year old girl with rope while armed with a knife and defiling her in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 5th October, 2025, at Illo Street, Ikeja area of Lagos..
According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim and forcefully engaged her in sex having intimidated and tied up her mouth and hands before he penetrated her.
Having satisfied himself,  he warned her not to tell anyone about it before he allowed her to go. But the victim exposed him by informing her parents about what happened.
Thus, the matter was reported to the Police at Ikeja Division. The Police operatives moved into action, eventually arrested and detained the suspect at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct against the victim.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s legal advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
