Man, 49, Docked For Forcing Boy To Eat Faeces During Squabble

A 49-year old man, Yesiru Daramola, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly beating a boy, Ugonna Ekpe and forcing him to eat faeces during a squabble over an undisclosed matter. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports the incident happened at Mafoluku, Oshodi area of Lagos, where they reside.

 

According to the Police, the suspect had a disagreement with the victim over an undisclosed matter and in the process,  he beat him mercilessly. As if that was not enough for him, he allegedly forced excreter into the month during the squabble.

 

The matter was reported to the Police at Makinde Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his conduct that drew condemnation from the residents.

 

After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charges read:

That you, Yesiru  Daramola and others now at large, on the 4th day of September, 2024 at about 1500hrs at Mafoluku, Oshodi in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conspire to assault one Ugonna Ekpe ‘m’ by beating him mercilessly, which caused him general body pains and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 170 (i) (a) of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

 

COUNT II That you, Yesiru Daramola and others now at large, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did conduct yourselves in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by forcing excreter into the month of one Ugonna Ekpe ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 168 (d) of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

 

However, he pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
