Man, 50, Fondles Breasts, Lures Girl, 14, Into Sex

A 50-year old man, Sunday Salami, has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly fondling a 14-year old girl’s breasts, getting her confused and luring her into sex.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Falade Street in Bariga area of Lagos where they reside.

It was gathered that Salami journey to prison started after he allegedly lured the victim into his apartment, used words of mouth to confuse her, moved his hands on her breasts severally, got her confused and reportedly raped her.
She was said to have later regained herself, cried and revealed what happened to her parents claiming that she was raped.
The matter was reported to the police and Salami was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for investigation.
While there, he admitted that they had agreed for such to take and he did not rape her as she claimed. But the victim insisted that she was raped because it was not with her consent.
The police found Salami culpable and charged him before Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
The prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice because it was a case of defilement involving a minor.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.Sule-Amzat, denied him bail and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice while the defendant will be in prison custody pending the outcome of DPP’s report.
The matter was adjourned till 3rd June, 2019.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the defendant, Salami, may spend up to 20 years in prison custody if the DPP finds him culpable, recommends his trial, he is tried in the High Court and found guilty.
