Man, 51 In Jail For Allegedly Inserting His P*nis Into Girl, 13 Private

A 51-year old man, Emeka Kanu has been ordered to be remanded in prison custody to awaits the Directorate of Public Prosecution, DPP advice over the alleged insertion of his penis into a 13-year old girl (name withheld) in Lagos.

Police source told P.M.EXPRESS that the DPP option ordered by the court was to determine whether the suspect, Emeka Kanu will actually face a rape charge which carries capital punishment over the assault on the victim.

The order followed the arraignment of Kanu before Ogba Magistrates’ court over allegation of defilement brought against him by the police at Agege Division.

The incident happened at Robinson Street, Iju- Ishaga in Agege area of Lagos where Kanu resides with the victim’s parents.

It was gathered that Kanu landed in trouble after he left his place of work in the afternoon at about 2.00pm and returned home to probably accomplish his desire.

He reportedly met the victim whose parents had also gone to work and allegedly lured her into his room.

Kanu reportedly fondled the little girl’s breasts and vagina before pulling down her pant and attempted to penetrate her to no avail due to the size of the suspect’s manhood.

He later allowed the girl to go after warning her not to tell anyone what happened.

Our correspondent gathered that during the attempt penetration, the victim suffered bruises in her private which make her to inform her parents about what happened.

The matter was reported to the police who arrested Kanu and charged him to court for defilement.

He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs Davis Abegunde granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The court also ordered the prosecutor to duplicate and send Kanu’s file to DPP for advice.

Kanu was ordered to be remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail while awaiting the DPP advice.

The matter was further adjourned till 15 May 2017.
