Man Burgles Church, Carts Away Sacred Pots

A 23-year old man, Ibrahim Amusa has landed in trouble after he broke into the sacred place of worship and stole the ‘sacred pots’ inside the church in Ajegunle, Lagos.
He was charged with burglary and stealing before Apapa Magistrates court and remanded in prison custody.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Amusa was not only facing the criminal matter in court, he will have to do some rituals to survive, some members of the church claimed.
The incident happened at a branch of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim located at 3 Ijaye street in Ajegunle, Lagos.
According to Police, Amusa broke into the church where he was reportedly looking for money. When he did not find any money, he stole some sacred pots inside the church and escaped.
Our correspondent learnt while he was escaping one of the residents saw him and raised alarm which attracted other neighbours who apprehended Amusa.
He was handed over to the police at Ajegunle division who charged him to court.
He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr T Abolarinwa granted Amusa bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Amusa was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail.
The matter was adjourned till 3 May 2017.
