A 67-year old man, Louis Osaah has landed in trouble after he forcefully demanded a goat and hot drinks from a man, Emmanuel Nwakpu who allegedly slept with his (Osaah) daughter without his consent.
Nwakpu had lodged a complaint to the police over a threat to his life after Osaah visited Nwakpu in his house at Prince Fadina Street in Olodi Apapa, Lagos and threatened to deal with him because he had offended the gods which needed to be appeased after sleeping with his daughter.
The complainant, Nwakpu reportedly lured the suspect’s daughter, Matilda Osaah into his apartment and engaged her in a marathon sex. He then gave Nwakpu conditions that he must bring a big goat, hot drinks, carton of beer and other traditional items for ritual cleansing of his daughter to appease the gods or else calamity would befall him.
The matter was reported to the police and Osaah was arrested and taken to the station where he reiterated his demand from Nwakpu or he should wait for calamity.
He was charged before Apapa Magistrate’s court on a three-count charge under the Criminal code with felony to wit demand with menace, threat to life and stealing.
When he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.A Abolarinwa granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was further adjourned till 5 November 2016.
