A 27-year old man, Olayinka Odewoye has shown his two female neighbours, Mrs Ogunjobi Adetola and Abosede Ademu his boxing skills by raining blows on his neighbour’s wife and in the process knocking off Ademu’s teeth.
At the police station, Adewoye reportedly admitted that he did so to serve as deterrent to her so that she will not use her mouth to abuse men next time.
The incident happened at 48 Kola Oretuga street, Meiran in the outskirt of Lagos.
The suspect has been arrested, charged before a Lagos court and remanded in prison custody for assault on the victims.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspects had disagreement with the victims and they abused and rained curses on him.
It was gathered that when he could not bear their insults, he reportedly attacked the victims and rained blows on Ademu’s mouth and removed her teeth in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS learnt that she did not only lose her teeth, her mouth was badly damaged as a result of the attack.
The victims sustained several degrees of injuries and were rushed to an undisclosed hospital, while the matter was reported to the police at Meiran Division who promptly arrested Adewoye and detained him at the station.
Adewoye was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for the alleged offence and he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs F. Dan-Oni granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 22nd of August, 2017.
