A 34-year old man, Mr. Oludara Seun, has been arrested for attacking and using a cutlass to severe his neighbour’s body during public brawl .

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Eshegbere Street by Hostel Bus Stop in Ikotun, Lagos where they reside.

It was gathered that Mr. Seun had a disagreement with the victim, Joshua Okonkor and Seun threatened that he will kill Okonkor who boasted that Seun cannot do it. They were said to be rivals in the compound for some time before the incident happened.
The victim had thought that he was joking and will not be able to carry out the threat. Hence, the defendant went into his apartment, brought out a sharp cutlass, attacked and severed part of his body. Okonkor then fled with the injury he had already sustained.
He was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he was being treated over the injury he sustained during the attack.
The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun Division; Seun was trailed and arrested.
He was charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for assault.
He pleaded guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Mr. G . Simon, asked the court for a short adjournment to enable him to present the facts of the matter for sentence. The defendant was remanded in prison custody pending when the facts will be presented for him to be sentenced accordingly.
The matter was adjourned till 7th November, 2018, for facts and sentence.
