A 40-year old nail cutter, Usman Mohammed, has confessed that he was introduced into homosexuality by his Islamic teacher when he was 18 in order to become rich, yet after 22 years he was still poor.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Mohammed, made the confession after he was arrested for allegedly sodomizing 12 Almajiri children in Gombe State by Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), whose ages ranged from five to 10 years old, in Gombe State.
The suspect, Mohammed, who resides at Liji in Yalmatu Deba Local Government Area of Gombe, admitted that he specializes in having carnal knowledge of minors to derive sexual satisfaction by penetration of their anus.
While Mohammed was being paraded with other suspects at the NSCDC State Headquarters, he stated that the whole thing started when he was a student at Almajiri school in Kano and he got addicted to it despite the fact that he was married with children.
The father of three said he regretted his actions while pleading for forgiveness from relevant authorities.
“I learnt homosexuality from my almajiri scholar around Brigade at the age of 18 years in Kano State. I am regretting my action and I am pleading for forgiveness,” he added.
The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Waziri Goni, stated that upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and disclosed that he was introduced to homosexuality to become rich.
Goni noted that out of the 12 boys allegedly sodomized, one is currently at large, while the rest were available.
“Unfortunately, he has not become rich. How can God bless such efforts of someone taking advantage of young boys? He has three children and a wife but prides himself in raping children in an attempt to get rich, he has remained a nail cutter,” the NSCDC chief added.
Goni advised the parents to take responsibility for their children and ensure that they are properly guided. He stated that the suspect will be charged before Court for the alleged offence after the conclusion of investigations.
