The Honourable Lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Lands, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Constituents on the occasion of Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary, while calling for stronger belief in the unity of Nigeria.

In his Independence Anniversary message made available to newsmen, Hon. ARK said, “As we mark the 60th Anniversary of our Independence, I must commend our dear President, Muhammadu Buhari and his team, for the genuine efforts and strides in moving the nation forward and his strong belief in the unity of Nigeria”.

“Like the President posited, the 60th Anniversary offers us a rare and unique opportunity to re-commit ourselves to the service of this great country of great people with profound diversities and opportunities. We therefore, need to aspire to be a strong indivisible people, united in hope and equal in opportunities.”

“I must not fail to salute and commend the heroes of our democracy like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and others. Their efforts and sacrifices for the nation cannot be forgotten.”

“I wish to also commend the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for the environment of peace and unity which we enjoy in Lagos State. With the aggregation of different ethnic nationalities in Lagos, he has shown great capacity to oversee the affairs of the state without rancour.”

“I must equally commend my Speaker, Rt. Hon. Dr. Mudashiru Obasa and my Honourable colleagues at the Lagos State House of Assembly, for providing the legislative framework for progress and unity in the state.”

“I’ll equally use this occasion of our 60th Anniversary celebration to salute the leaders of our party at different levels like Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson, Hon. Tunde Balogun and others, for working tirelessly to ensure unity and progress in the All Progressives Congress, APC.”

“To my beloved Constituents, I say, Happy 60th Independence Anniversary to you all!

May our dreams and aspirations for a better Nigeria come to fulfillment in our life time!” Hon Kasunmu concluded.
