Nigeria U-17 midfielder, Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen, has publicly expressed his appreciation to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the prompt payment of his transport allowance following the Golden Eaglets’ participation in the recent U-17 tournament in China.
In an official statement released on Friday, the Buruj Football Club midfielder said he felt it was important to acknowledge positive actions, noting that appreciation should receive as much attention as criticism.
“In a time when criticism often receives more attention than appreciation, I believe it is equally important to recognize and celebrate positive actions when they happen,” Salaudeen said.
The young midfielder revealed that since beginning his journey with Nigeria’s national teams at the U-15 level, the Nigeria Football Federation has consistently fulfilled its obligation regarding the payment of his allowances.
Salaudeen also commended the leadership of NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, NFF General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, and Director General of the National Sports Commission, Hon. Bukola Olopade, for their continued commitment to the development of Nigerian football and the welfare of young players.
The promising midfielder encouraged aspiring footballers not to be discouraged by negative narratives, stressing that experiences can differ and that institutions should be acknowledged when they do the right thing.
He concluded by reaffirming his pride in representing Nigeria and pledged to continue giving his best whenever he is called upon to wear the green and white of the Golden Eaglets.
Salaudeen’s message has been welcomed by many supporters as a reminder of the importance of recognizing positive developments in Nigerian football while encouraging continued progress in player welfare
