Nigerian Ambassador To Israel Endorses Agric Exhibition Show In Osun State

Nigerian Ambassador to the State of Israel, His Excellency, Enoch Pear Duchi has endorsed the first-ever International Agricultural Technology Exhibition and Conference which will hold in Osogbo in the State of Osun in November this year. 

The event, which is tagged Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018,  will take place from 20-22 November, 2018. It is being organized by the Government of the State of Osun,, Fesco Agalu Enterprises Nigeria Limited, Kenes Exhibition, organiser of Agritech Israel and Sifax Group of Companies.

The Nigerian Ambassador to the State of Israel made a public endorsement of the event when a delegation of Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 paid him a courtesy visit at the Nigeria House in Tel Aviv on Monday.

The members of the delegation included the Executive Director, Fesco Agalu, Mr Yahaya Majeed,  Corporate Affairs Manager, Sifax Group, Mr Muyiwa Akande, Special Adviser on Agriculture and Food Security to the Governor of the State of Osun, Hon Claudius Kolajo, the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Dr Oluwabukola Aluko and Coordinator Anchor Borrower Programme, Mr Bamidele Sanmi,

Ambassador Duchi congratulated the Executive Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola that a world class agricultural event is taking place during his administration, adding that the effort of the Governor since he assumed office has a story being told beyond Nigeria.

“I congratulate the Governor of Osun State on this noble event coming to Nigeria at this period when the Federal Government is diversifying our economy from dependence on oil to agriculture. You will agree with me that the State of Israel with its small population and the challenge of land has turned to be a powerhouse in modern agriculture. Let me assure that the Nigerian Embassy in Israel will deploy all resources to mobilise all stakeholders in agriculture in Israel to the Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 event.

“At the Embassy we are glad to be part of this agriculture exhibition programme and I want to promise our total support for its success, ” Ambassador Duchi said.

Executive Director, Fesco Agalu, Mr. Yahaya solicited the assistance of Nigerian Embassy in the State of Israel to assist in mobilizing companies and governmental institutions in Israel to the event come November.

He commended the Ambassador and the entire staff of the Embassy for the support Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 event has been receiving from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja in the past few weeks.

He told the Ambassador that the delegation is in Tel Aviv to attend the 20th edition of Agritech Israel, which holds from 8-10 May at the Tel Aviv International Conference Centre.

The Special Adviser on Agric to the Governor, Hon Kolajo said Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is solidly behind the hosting of Agritech Nigeria event in Osogbo, adding that the Government will provide the enabling environment for a success hosting. He said the Governor believes that Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 event will not only turn around agricultural practise in the state, but will also affect the nation as a whole.
