NYG: Lagos Holds Baseball and Softball Selection/Trials

As the 2023 National Youth Games draws closer, Lagos State Baseball and Softball Association organised its Selection/Trials in order to produce eligible players in tandem with the guidelines of the Games.
Over 61 Baseballers and softballers participated in the exercise held at the CMS Grammar School, Bariga, Lagos.
Part of the screening was based on fitness testing, ball catching and batting, and their position while returning to the home plate.
This is the first time the Baseball and Softball will be featuring in the Youth Games, an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
Team Lagos will slug it out with other teams at the regional level to pick a slot in representing the South-West at the NYG billed to take place in Asaba, Delta State.
Zonal Eliminations of Ball Games will commence on the 16th-18th of August,2023, at the Ilaji Sports and Resort Center, Akanran, Ibadan, Oyo State.
