In a striking demonstration of leadership and commitment to grassroots mobilisation, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA and APC flagbearer for the forthcoming Local Government elections, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, yesterday defied torrential rains and different terrains today to lead the vibrant DOS/KFL campaign train on a Ward Walk-Through Rally across Wards A, B,C and D.
Accompanied by his running mate, Alhaja Kafayat Layeni, as well as councillorship candidates Opeyemi Apatira (Ward A) Folashade Awolala (Ward B) Lanre Fatiu (Ward C) and Lanre Ogunnoiki (Ward D), the rally was a dynamic show of political strength and community engagement.
The team, led by Campaign Council Director-General, Barr. Olawale Ajala, kicked off the tour at Oluwole Estate yesterday in Ward A and moved through key communities including Adekunle Village, Shogunro Estate, Agbalojobi Estate, Aguda and Okeira today.
Despite the weather, the streets were lined with cheering residents, traders and party faithfuls, who danced, waved and voiced their support. The rally passed several infrastructural milestones of Odunmbaku’s administration, including newly constructed roads like Umaru Saro Drive, Fadeyi Street, Ahmudatu Street and Irebawa Street.
Residents expressed gratitude for his impactful programmes—ranging from free surgeries and subsidized food markets to scholarship and bursary initiatives.
The rally also saw the presence of notable party leaders, including Chief Mathew Adesanya and Alhaja Stella Kokumo, reinforcing the APC’s dominance and the campaign’s message of continuity, progress and inclusive development.
