The Chairman of the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA), Hon. Busoye Soladoye Ogunlade, has formally tendered his resignation from office to pursue his aspiration to represent Oyo federal constituency in the House of Representatives.

In his resignation letter addressed to the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, through the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Ogunlade expressed deep appreciation for the trust, confidence, and support the governor extended to him throughout his stewardship at the agency.

According to him, “Serving under your visionary leadership has been one of the greatest honours of my public service journey. Your kind gesture, unwavering support, and firm belief in my capacity to contribute to the development of our dear state have strengthened my resolve to continue serving humanity in a higher capacity.”

Ogunlade noted that his decision to step down was driven by a genuine desire to further contribute to nation-building, stating that the call from his constituents has become too compelling to ignore.

He added that his aspiration remains aligned with the ideals of progress, stability, and good governance championed by Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.

Reaffirming his loyalty, Hon. Ogunlade pledged total support to Governor Makinde and to whoever emerges as the consensus candidate for both his federal constituency and the party’s governorship ticket in the state.

“I remain fully committed to the success of this administration and our great party. My loyalty to you, Your Excellency, and to the collective decisions of our leaders is unwavering. Whoever emerges as the consensus candidate, both for our constituency and for the governorship, will enjoy my complete support and dedication,” he stated.

He further described Governor Makinde as a leader whose humility, inclusive style, and development-driven agenda continue to inspire many young politicians across the state.

Hon. Ogunlade thanked the management and staff of OYSROMA for their cooperation during his tenure, noting that the agency’s achievements were a product of teamwork, dedication, and shared resolve to improve road infrastructure across Oyo State.

His resignation marks the end of a distinguished service period and the beginning of a new political chapter, one he described as “a continuation of service to the people, anchored on sincerity, competence, and shared prosperity.”
